Known as Hydrophobia affects the central nervous system and eventually leads to death.
Physical Symptoms
Lethargy, depression, loss of appetite. Advanced symptoms can include foaming at the mouth, inability to swallow, aggression, convulsions, paralysis, and death.
Cause/Transmission
Infected saliva making contact with breaks in the skin, from cuts to bites.
Treatment
Consult your veterinarian. Affected animals are isolated or quarantined and often euthanized.
