Infectious Canine Hepatitis in Dogs: Symptoms, Causes & Treatment

Known as Canine Adenovirus Type 1 is a contagious viral disease which primarily attacks the dog’s liver. May also cause respiratory disease.

Physical Symptoms

Lethargy, depression, loss of appetite, possible nasal discharge.

Cause/Transmission

Exposure to infected animals, body fluids, or feces.

Treatment

Consult your veterinarian. Generally this disease must be treated immediately as liver damage can be irreversible.
